Crochet Braids in Passion Twists

See this content in the original post

There’s no better feeling than being able to get up in the morning, fluff your hair into place and head right out the door. If you have natural hair or a head full of curls then you know exactly what I’m talking about.

You just can’t beat the convenience of a great protective style. I use protective styling to give my hair a break when I know I’m suffering from a bad case of “hand in hair syndrome”, to protect my strands from the daily wear and tear.

Another plus, protective styling saves me so much time getting ready in the morning. Who doesn’t want more time to chill before having to leave for work?

Here’s a quick hair tutorial on how I installed these Crochet Braids in Passion Twists on my tapered natural hair.⁣

Crochet Braids styles are definitely my jam and go-to for protecting my hair because the install doesn’t put a lot of stress on my strands, thereby avoiding breakage.

Crochet braids are a super quick way to achieve some of the most popular styles that can have you sitting in a salon chair for hours, like box braids or individual twists. For my passion twists, what could have been a 4 hour process only took me 2! 🤯⁣

Crochet braids can lasts up to 4-6 weeks, making it a great style for vacations. Where most people go wrong with protective styling is that they install ⁣and forget about their own hair underneath causing dryness, inflamed itchy scalps and ultimately breakage. Which is counterproductive if the style is meant to protect hair from damage.

To maintain natural hair while in a protective style. Be sure to use shampoo and water in a applicator bottle to cleanse the scalp and an oil to provide nutrients and seal in moisture. A leave in conditioner will also moisturize the hair because dry hair leads to hair loss and no one wants that.
