If Your curls are heavy and dense and lack movement, you might want to consider getting some long layers. Layers will keep your hair long while taking out weight and creating volume. Layers are great for opening up the face. For this cut you can get a cut about every 12 weeks for a trim.
3. Curly Bob
Bobs are so chic. They ‘re perfect for finer curls as it creates shape and a bold perimeter while still achieving volume. They are also great for girls who want to accentuate the jaw and elongate the neck. To maintain this look visit the salon about every 6-8 weeks.

This edgy shape stacks curls to the top of the head, creating volume and getting rid of weight. This cut will slim the face and draw attention to the eyes. This shape works best for fine to medium dense curls to help with volume.

6. Tapered Cut
The tapered cut Is my personal favorite, as I’ve big chopped twice into it. A tapered cut help accentuate the face by having shorter sides and back and texture on top. Making it the perfect big chop cut if you are transitioning.
This shape works best for tighter curls and coils around 3s and 4s as it works will with shrinkage.
7. Afro
Afros are a show stopper for the tightly coiled textures as the hair creates volume and fullness. When cut for more volume at the top and shape toward the ears at the bottom it hugs the jawline bringing out the face. Always use a leave in conditioner when up keeping this look.
